๐ About me
Hi! Iโm Lucien, and Iโm currently pursuing a PhD at Abbelight in collaboration with Universitรฉ Paris-Saclay. My path started in physics at the Technical University of Munich where I gradually transitioned toward biophysics and image analysis. Before starting my PhD, I completed my Masterโs thesis at the EMBL European Molecular Biology Laboratory, focusing on applications of deep learning in microscopy. In my PhD, I now combine my background in physics, biology and computer science to push the frontiers of whatโs possible in biological imaging.
๐ญ What I am working on
My project focuses on characterizing ๐๐ฑ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ (๐๐๐ฌ) by combining ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐ซ-๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฒ (๐๐๐) and ๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐
๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ฒ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ (๐๐

EVs are becoming increasingly relevant for diagnostics and therapeutics, and our goal is to develop a new imaging modality that combines the high resolution of SRM with the high throughput of IFC. Achieving this could enable more sensitive cancer detection and better quality assessment of EV-based therapies.
โจ Something personal
In my free time I love to play boardgames. Those big ones that take up your entire table and entire afternoon. I enjoy learning new games and I definitely spend way too much time on Youtube watching explanations of games Iโll probably never buy. Besides that, I love spending time in nature and definitely miss the mountains and lakes of my hometown.
